Our Story
From The Heart of Sezo Valley
Nutritious | Delicious | Authentic |
A secret inherited from 13 generations of Tibetan nomads
Sezo Taste is founded and run by Lobsang, who hails from the Tibetan village of Sezo, located in the lush valleys of Amdo Ngaba in northeastern Tibet. The region is famous for its soil's remarkable fertility and versatility, producing a diverse range of nutritious and organic foods for its inhabitants.Lobsang grew up in a semi-nomadic matriarchal family. Being the oldest of five children, he had to shoulder family responsibilities from a young age. He inherited the secret of the grain from his mother and grandmother by observing and later by serving until he fully mastered the unique traditions of Tibetan nomadic cuisine ranging from shakampo to tsamba to chura.Today, as the traditional way of life in the region is disappearing, he hopes to preserve the Tibetan nomads' unique food culture by sharing it with the world. He founded Sezo Taste to bring the authentic taste and unmatched nutrition of traditional Tibetan foods to the world.

“To me, art is a spiritual act with no limits or boundaries. As someone born and raised in Tibet and condemned to a life of exile since adolescence, I have been separated from my family for the greater part of my life. I have roamed this earth as a pilgrim, as a refugee, as a dreamer, and as a seeker. It was through art that I was able to transform the causes of my suffering into ideal conditions for contemplation, imagination, and meditation. Art is the best gift anyone can get."
